EUCAR Intern
EUCAR is looking for an intern to start in the near future in the Brussels offices.
Job Title and Function
The EUCAR Office will assign the “EUCAR Intern” to execute specific analysis assignments supporting EUCAR’s priorities and to provide backup for the permanent staff.
The intern reports to the EUCAR Director at the EUCAR Office in Brussels and is a temporary member of the EUCAR Office staff.
Timing of the assignment
As from January or February 2011, minimum 3 months, maximum 6 months.
Responsibilities and Activities
Specific assignment (80%)
- Compilation, analysis and presentation of sectoral and international data on R&D investment, funding and programmes.
General assignments (maximum 20%)
- General support for the EUCAR Office staff and functions.
Personal profile
The intern should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Currently studying for or recently completed a university degree or post-graduate qualification, preferably in engineering, science or related to European affairs.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken language), additional European languages are an advantage.
- Excellent skills in data compilation, spreadsheets
- At a minimum a basic knowledge of the automotive industry and/or the research community.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the EU institutions.

Further conditions
Shared office, telephone to be provided.
Full time assignment, 5 days (40 hours) per week. Public holidays free, further vacation to be determined.
Commensurate monthly salary.
