EUCAR Organisation
The overall body of EUCAR is the Council consisting of the R&D directors of the member companies of EUCAR. The chairmanship of the Council rotates annually between them members. For 2010 the EUCAR Chairman is Mr Marc Duval-Destin, Director of Research and Advanced Engineering, PSA Peugeot Citroën.
Additionally the EUCAR organisation consists of the Coordination Committee, having a role to support the operation of EUCAR and the contacts with the member companies. The Financing Group and the Legal Group are two bodies of company representatives supporting in issues of financing and legal matters of the EUCAR organisation and R&D projects.
The actual and practical work on R&D issues is performed by the EUCAR Working Groups (WG) which consist of expertise from the members companies. It is in the WGs the R&D needs are identified and formulated, and suitable R&D projects are initiated.
For the daily running of the EUCAR Organisation, there is a secretariat, the EUCAR Office, located in Brussels. The EUCAR Office supports the organisation, sets up meetings, monitor the progress of key issues, acts as the contact and entry point to EUCAR.

EUCAR Working Groups
The member companies of EUCAR collaborate on a broad spectrum of automotive an road transport topics. This is done by sending their company experts to the EUCAR Working Groups for identifying and formulating common R&D needs, and initiating strategic R&D projects that address these needs.
