August 2013 - JEC Consortium issues results of version 4 of its Well-to-Wheel Study The members of the JEC consortium (JRC, EUCAR and CONCAWE) are progressing in updating their joint evaluation of the Well-to-Wheels energy use and greenhouse gas emissions for a wide range of potential future fuels and powertrain options in the European context. The current update is the fourth evaluation of the fuel/powertrain system, the first study was published in 2003. 9th July 2012 - Today the European Commission is announcing its call for proposals for the 2013 Work Programme of the Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7), with co-funding totalling €8.1bn. EUCAR welcomes the opportunities that this call provides to its members, the 14 major European automotive manufacturers, and their research partners.  Automotive research opportunities include the European Green Cars Initiative, ICT for Mobility and Factories of the Future.
