DOMUS aims at radically changing the way vehicle passenger compartments and their respective comfort control systems are designed, specifically for Electric Vehicle (EV) development. This new design methodology will optimise energy use and efficiency while keeping user comfort and safety needs central. On January 2020 three EUCAR members (DAF Trucks, IVECO, and Volvo Group), launched the LONGRUN project (Development of efficient and environmental friendly long-distance powertrain for heavy-duty trucks and coaches). In the long haul transport sector, the reduction of real driving emissions and fuel consumption is the main societal challenge. The HEADSTART (Harmonised European Solutions for Testing Automated Road Transport) project aims to define testing and validation procedures of Cooperated, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) functions including key technologies such as communications, cyber-security and positioning. Project in Focus: ENABLE-S3

More than 60 companies and research centres collaborate in the ENABLE-S3 project. It aims at significantly raising the level of reliability for automated systems while addressing the effort and costs needed for testing. ENABLE-S3 will provide a comprehensive modular verification and validation framework. The final event of the project was held on 16-17 May 2019 at the Helmut List Halle in Graz, Austria. Project in Focus: GasOn

The GasOn project addresses an alternative way towards clean and sustainable mobility by fully exploiting the benefits of  Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). CNG offers less CO2 emissions, which can be close to zero for biomethane (renewable energy). Beside that CNG also offers a significantly higher knock resistance and near zero particulates.
