EUCAR’s Innovating with Impact, Successful Innovation Panel

EUCAR organised for the 30-anniversary event, Innovating with Impact Conference, a panel discussion on Successful Innovation.

The panellists focused on the green and digital transformation in society as an innovation driver; and how to accelerate user-oriented innovation to bring benefits to users and society.

After the opening speech by Antti Vasara, President & CEO at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd, Lutz Eckstein, President of VDI, Head of IKA at RWTH Aachen University highlighted that need for Europe to have attractive framework conditions for researchers to be successful:

“Innovation starts with identifying the most promising research findings globally, in order to invent and develop new concepts for products and processes addressing the complex challenges we face. Nobody can do this alone – therefore, we must further strengthen collaborative research, as currently funded in Pillar II of Horizon Europe.“

He was joined in the panel by Georg List, Corporate Strategy at AVL List GmbH, Chair WG R&I at Business Europe and Helene Niklasson, VP, Innovation Ecosystems and Partnerships and Head of CampX at Volvo Group.
