More than 400 participants attended the RTR 2023 conference
From 14 to 16 February 2023, ERTRAC, 2Zero, CCAM and the European Commission services organised the Conference on Results from Road Transport Research (RTR) with more than 400 attendees. In this event, stakeholders presented Horizon2020 projects’ results, expected impacts, and next research steps in essential areas for road transport.
In the opening session, Stephan Neugebauer, Director Global Research Cooperation, BMW and ERTRAC & EGVIAfor2Zero Chair, Rosalinde van der Vlies, Director – Clean Planet, European Commission, DG Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and Torsten KLIMKE, Head of Unit B3, Innovation and Research, European Commission, DG Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) emphasised the relevance of the EU research programmes for the European Green Deal and the support of the automotive industry in its digital transformation.
The conference programme (here) covered an excellent overview of the progress made in the different R&I areas of road transport, such as Green Vehicles, Urban Mobility, Logistics, Intelligent Transport Systems, Safety, and Automated Road Transport. These included the EUCAR projects CEVOLVER, eCharge4Drivers and UPSCALE with EUCAR members driving automotive research and innovation.
